Longing

Desire—

our gaze turns outward as the horizon expands infinitely.

Deep within, an ember burns;

soon it will rage into fire.

Star-bright,

a phoenix rises.

To be seen,

to be heard,

to be embraced—

the call endures,

a siren song that feels eternal.
